1. SOPHOMORE STANDOUT: Sophomore guard
Sydney Hilliard continues to lead the Badgers in overall production and ranks among the top in the conference. The Monroe native notched her sixth 20-point game last Sunday against Indiana, totaling 23 on the afternoon. She averages just under 20 points a game while adding nearly six rebounds and five assists per game. Her offensive contributions land Hilliard in the top 10 in the Big Ten, coming in at No. 7 in overall scoring and assists. On the season, Hilliard is the second-most improved scorer in the Big Ten, upping her scoring from 9.2 ppg in 2019-20 to 19.4 ppg in 2020-21, an improvement of 10.2 ppg.Â
2. GRAD GROWTH: Graduate Transfer
Estella Moschkau has had a start quiet for Wisconsin, but as the new Badger begins to find her niche in this team, her experience and mature leadership continues to show. The Madison native averages 6.3 points a game while adding 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. The 6-foot-1 forward is also perfect from the free-throw line this season, hitting 9-9 from the charity stripe.

3. LAST TIME AGAINST MICHIGAN: Wisconsin traveled to Michigan on New Year's Eve and the Badgers saw a well-rested and ranked Wolverine team down UW 92-49. Four Wolverines scored in double figures behind 22 points from Naz Hillmon, the Big Ten's leading scorer, and transfer Leigha Brown, who scored a game-high 26 points.
Â
4. SCOUTING MICHIGAN: The Wolverines remain undefeated at 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the Big Ten, after it had two games postponed in December due to COVID-19. Junior Naz Hillmon was named the Big Ten, ESPN and USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week after putting together a pair of double-doubles while averaging 29.5 points per game on 60.0 percent shooting and 17.5 rebounds per contest.
