CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — No. 21 Wisconsin (0-0 B1G) opens the Big Ten and overall dual season on the road this Sunday, Jan. 17 at No. 24 Illinois (1-0 B1G) and against No. 7 Ohio State (0-0 B1G) in a tri-meet hosted by the Fighting Illini in Champaign, Illinois. The matches starts at 11 a.m.

Here are five more things to know before the Badgers step on the mats on Sunday at State Farm Arena:
1. The tri-meet will will be streamed lived on BTN+ (subscription required). The tri-meet will feature two mats and each mat will be streamed live.
2. Wisconsin returns nine wrestlers with starting experience in duals, including Trent Hillger who started each of the Badgers' duals at 285 pounds (heavyweight) and teammate Eric Barnett who earned 10 starts at 125 pounds to close out the 2019-20 season.
3. Additional Badgers with starting experience are Dominic Dentino (141), Garrett Model (157), Drew Scharenbrock (157), Tyler Dow (174), Anders Lantz (174), Jared Krattiger (174) and Peter Christensen (197).
4.Transferring from Lehigh, Wisconsin welcomes redshirt senior and NCAA qualifier Chris Weiler who's expected to make an immediate impact at 184 pounds.
5. Due to the shortened season, there will be extra matches held during the day for members of each team's roster. The extra matches will count for the competitors' season, but not for the team duals. Extra matches are to be announced.
