MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's basketball team takes on their second ranked opponent of the season in the No. 22 Northwestern Wildcats Wednesday afternoon at the Kohl Center. Tip time is 3 p.m. live on the Big Ten Network.

Here are five things you need to know ahead of the game:

1. CZECH OUT THESE NUMBERS: Sophomore Julie Pospisilova scored a career-high 28 points, the most points by a Badger this season, in Wisconsin's last outing versus Minnesota. The Prague, Czech Republic native was 10-17 from the field and 5-8 from 3-point range, both career highs. Her eight triples versus the Gophers ties her career high as she also added seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and three blocks.

2. HOT SHOT: Wisconsin shot a season-high 58.2 percent (32-55) from field goal range despite losing last Sunday against Minnesota. This team percentage just misses UW's top-10 list. Junior forward Imani Lewis was six-for-nine from the field against the Gophers, contributing 13 points in total. The Badgers also shot a season-high 53.3 percent (8-15) from 3-point range, their second time over 50 percent from deep this year.  This increased shooting production played a big role in Wisconsin's second half comeback to force overtime against Minnesota and is something that will be needed if they hope to knock off No. 22 Northwestern.

3. SMALL STATS: The Badgers will need to improve and focus on a lot more statistics than just scoring when it comes to preparing for four ranked teams in a row. Luckily for Wisconsin, it is outperforming its opponents in both rebounding and blocks per game as well as both field goal and three-point shooting percentages. The Badgers average 41.6 rebounds per game and 5.6 blocks per game behind Pospisilova, who ranks fourth in the Big Ten with 1.6 blocks per game.

4. SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN: The 4-2 (2-2 B1G) Wildcats are coming to Madison on a two-game Big Ten losing streak after dropping back-to-back games against Nebraska and Michigan last week. While the stingy Northwestern defense boasts the fourth best scoring defense in the Big Ten, allowing only 60.2 ppg, it also sits last in the Big Ten in rebound production (35.2/game), a spot Wisconsin will look to dominate in. The Wildcats are led by junior guard Veronica Burton and senior guard Sydney Pullman. Burton leads Northwestern in scoring, averaging nearly 18 points a game and acts as the Wildcats' main distributor with just over five assists a game. Pullman leads the team in minutes played and is very much the go-to veteran player for Northwestern, averaging just under 15 points a game.
