Game Coverage

Sunday, Jan. 10 | 3 p.m. | Assembly Hall | Bloomington, Ind.

MADISON, Wis – Wisconsin (3-5, 0-5 B1G) continues a tough stretch, playing four-straight ranked teams. The Badgers take to the road on Sunday where they play No. 19 Indiana (6-3, 4-1). Tip time is 3 p.m. from Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana. Watch on B1GNetwork+ or listen on U 100.9 FM in the Madison area or anywhere with the iHeartRadio app.

1. BENCH DEPTH: The Badgers have seen increased production from their bench over the last couple outings, putting gup a season high 23 bench points against Northwestern on Wednesday. Freshmen Kate Thompson and Halle Douglass both posted career days against the Wildcats with Thompson scoring a team-high nine points and Douglass added six points and a career-high four points. The Badgers will need their continued production as they play in the always-tough Big Ten Conference.

2. SHOOT YOUR SHOT: After shooting a season low 29.7% (19-64) at Michigan on Dec. 31, the Badgers are shooting 51% (53-104) from field goal range the last two contests. Wisconsin shot a season-high 48.2 % (32-55) vs. Minnesota on Jan. 3. On the season, UW is shooting 43.7% from the field and 36.1% from 3-point range.

3. BOARDS NEED TO IMPROVE: After outrebounding their first five opponents of the season, the Badgers have been outrebounded by their last three foes. UW averaged 45.2 rebounds per game over its first five contests while averaging just 29.7 over the last three games, including a season-low 24 boards against Northwestern on Wednesday.

4. SCOUTING INDIANA: The 6-3 Hoosiers have started out 2021 going 1-1 with a loss to Maryland and a win at Penn State. As a team, Indiana has struggled as of late from the 3-point line, shooting around 20% from deep in its last three outings. This compares to Wisconsin who has seen increased production from deep, sitting fifth in the Big Ten in 3-point field goal percentage. Leading the way for the Hoosiers is sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes averaging just over 17 points and six rebounds per game this season.
