Wisconsin Head Coach Greg Gard

On sophomore forward Steven Crowl:
"He's so cerebral with the game. He understands it on both ends of the floor. I said a year ago when we were preparing in the (NCAA) tournament for North Carolina, we were working on some things defensively and we had a hard time with him. He really picked us apart. You could just see in his freshman year the game comes very natural to him -- he's very instinctive. But, he also has now picked up some things defensively and that's a hard position to learn when you're in that many ball screens. But, he's done a good job. [He's] understanding the concepts and growing. I just like his IQ, his moxy and his knowledge for the game."

Wisconsin Senior Guard Brad Davison

On the team's defense:
"I think in the first two games and over the course of the fall and the preseason we've been trying to find our identity and I think we've found out that our identity is on the defensive end of the ball. Our ability to apply pressure but also play solid and disciplined has been great the first two games. We've got to continue to build on it and get better, but at that point I know we can be really good because we really value the defensive side of the ball and that will make you competitive regardless of where you're playing and who you're playing against."

Wisconsin Sophomore Forward Steven Crowl

On his passing ability:
"Being able to pass is just as good as scoring for me. It's a big part of my game and I like that."
