WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – With non-conference play over, Wisconsin men's basketball is set to continue Big Ten action Monday night with a game at No. 3 Purdue. The matchup between the Badgers and Boilermakers is set for 6 p.m. CT and will be televised on Big Ten Network.

Before the Badgers head to West Lafayette, here is the Starting Five:

1.) Badgers Beat the 'Birds – Last time out, Wisconsin took home an 89-85 win over Illinois State in the final non-conference game of the year last Wednesday night at the Kohl Center. Four players finished with double-digit scoring efforts – Steven Crowl (21 pts), Johnny Davis (20 pts), Tyler Wahl (18 pts), and Chucky Hepburn (13 pts). Johnny Davis also registered his first career double-double after securing a career-high 11 rebounds.

2.) Career Night – Steven Crowl notched career highs in points (21) and rebounds (9) last time out against Illinois State. Tyler Wahl matched his career high in points (18), including a personal best eight made free throws. Carter Gilmore and Isaac Lindsey each hit their first 3-pointers for UW.

3.) Limiting Mistakes – The Badgers only turned the ball over six times against the Redbirds. Wisconsin ranks second in the country averaging 8.2 turnovers per game. Wisconsin sits behind New Hampshire who is giving away the ball 7.9 times per contest. Two other league opponents, Northwestern and Iowa, also join UW in the top five.

4.) Series Against Purdue – The Boilermakers lead the all-time series against Wisconsin, 111-72. Four of the last five games between the Big Ten foes have been decided by four points or less. Wisconsin's last victory over Purdue came at home in 2020 when the Badgers beat the Boilermakers, 69-65.

5.) Scouting the Boilermakers – Purdue will bring one of the bigger scoring threats UW has faced this season, as the Boilermakers rank second in the conference averaging 87.2 points per game and shooting a league best 51.6% from the floor. Three players are averaging over 13 points per game led Jaden Ivey's 16.7 points per game, while Zach Edey averages 14.9 and Trevion Williams averages 13.3 points per game.
