Badgers bring home gold in three events

UW athletes shine in sprints and field events
IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Badgers completed day two of the Hawkeye B1G Invitational Saturday afternoon. Kiley Robbins, Bianca Stubler and Chloe Lindeman brought home gold in their respective events.
Senior Stubler won the 600-meter run, crossing the line in 1:32.14, just ahead of teammate Ali Dorn who finished second in 1:32.34. Freshman Anna Schoesser snagged a sixth-place finish, crossing the line in 1:35.69.
Lindeman took home gold in the weight throw with a personal best toss of 67-1 1/4, which ranks fourth on the UW indoor record list. Teammate Olivia Roberts was not far behind, claiming fourth-place with a throw of 61-6 3/4, which ninth on the all-time indoor list.
Three Badger distance runners placed in the top 10 in the premier 3000-meter run. Senior Alissa Niggemann led the Badger pack, claiming fourth in a time of 9:32.32. Brogan MacDougall crossed the line in 9:37.12 to finish seventh. Sophomore Victoria Heiligenthal closed out the top 10 for the Badgers as she clinched 10th place in 9:40.71.
The 4x400-meter relay consisting of Stubler, Dorn, Gilling and Morgan Parzych snagged a fifth-place finish, crossing the line at 3:44.88.
Also in the field events, Diamond Black competed in the triple jump, leaping 39-0 1/2, which put her at eighth place.

Going for the gold
Freshman Robbins continues to showcase her talents. The Milwaukee native won the open 200-meter dash, breaking the tape in 24.59 seconds, which ranks seventh on UW's top-10 indoor list. Her time would have also placed her fifth in the premier 200 meters where Taylor Gilling finished 11th in 25.08.Senior Stubler won the 600-meter run, crossing the line in 1:32.14, just ahead of teammate Ali Dorn who finished second in 1:32.34.
