MADISON, Wis – Wisconsin (5-15, 2-15 B1G) returns home for its final two games in the Kohl Center this week as No. 11 Indiana (14-4, 12-2) and Iowa (12-6, 8-6) come to town.The Badgers and Hoosiers tip off on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The game streams live on the Big Ten Network. UW wraps up its home season on Sunday, when the Hawkeyes come to town. Tip time is 2 p.m. live on FoxSportsNorth.Â
Here are five things to watch on Wednesday.
1. CRASHING THE BOARDS: Wisconsin boasts one of the top-five Big Ten rebounders in Imani Lewis. The 6-foot-1 forward is averaging 9.1 rebounds per game, good for fifth in the Big Ten and tops among the UW. Lewis also ranks second on the team with 15.4 points per game, having scored in double figures the last 10 games in a row.
2. BLOCK PARTY: The Badgers sit fourth in the Big Ten in blocks per game with 4.2 this season. Challenging opponents' shots has not just been a job of a post player as guard Julie Pospisilova leads Wisconsin, sitting fourth in the Big Ten with 1.3 blocks per game. Pospisilova also ties for 15th in steals per game with 1.5.
3. SCOUTING THE HOOSIERS: Indiana sits second in the Big Ten with a 14-2 overall record and 12-2 in the Big Ten with loses from Maryland and Ohio State.The Hoosier's team defense is impressive, holding opponents to an average of just 59.4 points per game, which ranks second in the conference. Indiana leads the Big Ten in field goal defense at 36.7% and ranks third in 3-point field goal defense at 29.4%Â
4. LAST TIME VS INDIANA: Wisconsin dropped a 74-49 road game at Indiana on Jan. 10. Sophomore Sydney Hilliard put up 23 points against the Hoosiers while Imani Lewis added 10 points. The Badgers struggled from deep, where they were 0-8 from the 3-point line. In turn, Wisconsin also had 30 points in the paint and will need to keep this number high, while adding production from the outside.
