- Hopeful Horizons: The Badgers are showing a lot of promise heading into their first home matches of the Big Ten season. Last weekend Wisconsin swept Michigan State, 7-0, for its first Big Ten win of the year and senior Jesper Freimuth became the second Badger to beat a ranked opponent this season. Freimuth scored a 6-3, 7-5 upset over No. 83 Connor Johnston of No. 14 Michigan.
- Scouting Illinois: Wisconsin is looking to break a nine-match win streak Illinois holds in the series between the teams. Earlier this month the Badgers fell, 6-1, in a non-conference match against the Illini. The outing was highlighted by Lenard Soha defeating No. 15 Alex Brown, 6-4, 6-1. Illinois is currently 1-1 in conference play and 4-2 overall.
