Here are five things you need to know leading up to the game:
1. UNSTOPPABLE SYD: Sophomore Sydney Hilliard is on a scoring run that has her ranked 11th in the Big Ten in point production. The guard leads the Badgers in scoring, averaging 17.2 point per game and has scored in double digits in each of the past seven games. Over the last two games, the Monroe, Wisconsin, native is shooting 15-23 (65.2%) from the field and 7-8 (87.5%) from the free-throw line.
2. BIG TEN'S BEST: Nine double-doubles is the most this season in the Big Ten and that stat belongs to Wisconsin's own Imani Lewis. The junior forward got off to a bit of a slow start on the season, adjusting to the new personnel in the Badger lineup, but Lewis has been on a double-double rampage through the past seven games, notching at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in six of the last seven contests. She averaging 17.4 ppg and 11.6 rpg over the seven-game stretch..
3. SURGING STAPLETON: Sara Stapleton has seen a drastic increase in playing time, earning a starting role in 15 games this season. Sitting second on the team, Stapleton has 13 blocks so far this season, including a season high three stops at Penn State on Sunday. Stapleton also put up 11 points and five rebounds against the Lady Lions, upping her averages to 6.7 ppg and 3.8 rpg whilding adding 0.8 blocks per game.
4. SCOUTING OHIO STATE: The Buckeyes sit fourth in the Big Ten with a 12-2, 8-2 B1G record, dropping games to both Northwestern and Nebraska. Ohio State is led offensively by Jacy Sheldon, averaging 17 ppg, and Dorka Juhasz, averaging 15.3 ppg and 11.2 rpg. As a team, the Buckeyes are a high-scoring offense, but one that doesn't rely free throws. Sitting eighth in the Big Ten, one below Wisconsin, taking advantage of opportunities at the free throw line can be a big area that the Badgers can influence the game in their favor.
