FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Three members of the men's and women's track and field teams earned second-team All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Thursday and Friday. Freshman

Jordan Hirsbrunner and redshirt junior
Josie Schaefer were honored in their respective events.
Second-Team All-Americans
Hirsbrunner was the first to compete for the Badgers, placing 15th in the women's pentathlon with 3,777 points. Hirsbrunnner earned a fourth-place finish in the pentathlon shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 11 1/4 inches. The Monroe, Wisconsin, native secured a top-10 finish in the pentathlon 800-meter run, crossing the line in 2 minutes, 22.90 seconds. Hirsbrunner also placed 15th in the pentathlon high jump at 5-4 1/4 and 15th in the pentathlon long jump at 17-4 3/4. .Â
Schaefer took the ring on Friday to compete in the women's shot put. The Baraboo, Wisconsin, native threw 54-10 3/4 on her first attempt, but improved to 55-4 3/4 on her second, making that her best throw of the day. Schaefer finished ninth overall.
Hassan competed in the men's 800-meter semi-finals on Friday. The Toronto, Ontario, native placed 11th, crossing the line in 1:49.58 as one of only three freshmen in the field.
