UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team saw its five-game unbeaten run draw to a close on Sunday, falling to Iowa, 1-0, in the 2020-21 Big Ten Tournament championship game at Jeffrey Field.

It was a scoreless first half but the Badgers were able to generate a couple of great scoring chances. After early shots by Jenna Kirarly and Sophia Romine that were saved by Iowa keeper Macy Enneking, Cameron Murtha got a good look in the box but her attempt was thwarted by the Iowa defense.

UW outshot Iowa 10-4 in the opening half and didn't allow a Hawkeye shot for the final 24 minutes of the half.

However, Iowa found the back of the net in the second half as Jenny Cape scored for the Hawkeyes in the 63rd minute to take a 1-0 lead

The Badgers were able to generate several more chances in the final 45, but were unable to level the game.

- This setback ended UW's eight-game unbeaten streak to Iowa.
