MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin golf alumnus Jordan Hahn qualified for the Valspar Championship on Monday. This will be his first tournament on the PGA Tour.
Hahn qualified after firing off a six-under-par 66 in Monday's qualifier. The Valspar Championship runs April 29 - May 2 on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida. The course is a 7,340-yard par-71. Coverage can be found on CBS and the Golf Channel. Tee times are yet to be determined.
Hahn has been playing on the Korn Ferry Tour since graduating. He recorded his first professional win at the Crooked Cat Challenge on December 12 after shooting a 13-under-par 131.
The Spring Grove, Illinois native had a successful collegiate career at Wisconsin. He holds the program's scoring record, averaging 73.08 from 2015-2019. He shot the third-lowest 18-hole score in program history with a 65 during his senior season. He also shot four of the top-15 lowest 36-hole scores and three of the top-10 lowest 54-hole scores. He shot the lowest season average in program history during the 2018-19 season with a 71.69, the fourth-lowest during 2016-17 season with a 72.77 and had two first-place finishes in his time with the Badgers.
During his senior season he qualified for the NCAA Regional at Louisville as an individual. He placed 35th and was the first Badger since 2009 to be invited to the NCAA regional as an individual, in addition to the fourth in program history. That season he was also named First-Team All-Big Ten, only the 12th Badger to ever do so. Hahn's additional honors include being named Academic All-Big Ten and a two-time Big Ten Player of the Week.
