CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Behind three scorers in the 5,000 meters, the Wisconsin men's track and field team wrapped up the final day of the 2021 Big Ten Conference Championships on Sunday. Wisconsin scored 50 points to finish ninth in the team race.
Trio of scorers in 5000
The Badgers scored 14 points in the 5,000 meters behind second-place finisher
Olin Hacker. Hacker was edged over the last 10 meters, crossing in 13 minutes, 49.98 seconds. Michigan State's Morgan Beadlescomb won in 13:49.05. Redshirt freshman
Rowen Ellenberg sprinted to a third-place finish in 13:54.92 while senior
Seth Hirsch placed fifth in a personal best time of 13:57.55.

Freshman
Abdullahi Hassan placed third in the 800 meters, crossing in 1:49.12.
Sophomore L.O. Johnson finished fourth in the 100 meters in 10.35 and anchored the 4x100-meter relay to a sixth-place finish. He teamed with Max Peckenschneidner,
Colin Enz and
Jon Burt to run a season's best time of 40.57. Enz also placed seventh in the 400 meters, running a personal best time of 47.32.

Jackson Sharp took fifth in the 1500 meters in 3:53.68. Freshman
Jack Meijer finished just out of the scoring range in 11th in 3:57.39.
In the shot put, freshman
Andrew Stone placed fifth in 61 feet, 11 3/4 inches.
