Freshman places second in 200 Back in Olympic Trials in Omaha
Freshman Phoebe Bacon earned her spot on Team USA with a second-place finish in an exciting 200 Back race on Saturday night.
The Chevy Chase, Maryland native chased down world-record holder Regan Smith on the last lap and finished with a time of 2:06.46, only 0.73 seconds behind first-place Rhyan White.
Bacon won the 200 Back in her first-ever NCAA championships back in March with a time of 1:48.32.
