MADISON, Wis. – UW men's soccer fell to DePaul 1-0 Sunday afternoon.
Wisconsin and DePaul started out quiet with no shots recorded until the 32
nd minute when
Noah Melick almost put the Badgers on the board first. A minute later Iñaki Irribarren attempted a shot on goal, but it was easily recovered by the Blue Demon's keeper.
DePaul broke the scoreless tie off a free kick from twenty yards out. The ball graced the head of a Badger and it ricocheted enough to change the direction of the shot.
Andrew Akindele and Melick led the Wisconsin attack with two shots on goal. UW finished the afternoon with 12 shots and six on goal compared to DePaul's two shots and one on goal.
Next up for the Badgers is a matchup at McClimon Soccer Complex against Butler at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
