Wisconsin prepares for busy weekend

Badgers set for four dual matches in three days
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin women's tennis team officially begins its spring season at home this week with a dual match Thursday against Texas Christian University. The match is set for a noon start at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
Following Thursday's home opener, the Badgers will then hit the road for three dual matches in two days beginning Friday against DePaul at the XS Tennis Village. Friday's dual match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.

Wisconsin continues its jam-packed weekend on Saturday in Illinois, traveling to Dekalb to compete against Northern Illinois University. Action begins at 9 a.m., and fans can follow along with live results posted to iOnCourt.

To finish the weekend off, the Badgers will then travel to Rockford, Ill. to compete against Bradley University at a neutral site. That match is set to begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Freshman Taylor Cataldi, Anisha Apte, Mia Larrain, and Ariel Johnson will all be making their spring season debuts as Badgers at the dual match on Thursday against Texas Christian University.

Standing out for the Badgers is junior Xinyu Cai, who was recently ranked No. 59 in the country on the ITA's national rankings for singles play. Wisconsin's top singles player last season, Cai is coming off a 12-6 singles record.

UP NEXT:Â The Badgers will travel to Denver, Colorado to compete against Denver University on February 4.
