MADISON, Wis.-- The Badger men's track and field team finished the weekend off at the Rod McCravy Memorial and the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Indiana, on Saturday.
Indiana Relays
Senior Olin Hacker claimed another major win, dominating the 3,000 meters. Hacker won the race in a personal best time of 7 minutes, 45.73 seconds, ranking him first in the nation this season and second all time at Wisconsin. Junior Jackson Sharp finished second, running a personal best time of 7:51.65, ranking him sixth at UW and ninth nationally this season.
Freshman Adam Spencer competed in his first mile run, finishing fifth in 4:04.04 while in the 800 meters, senior Ansel Fellman placed fifth in 1:51.85.Â
In the 4x400-meter relay, the team of Spencer, Abdullahi Hassan, Liam Belson and Nick Hruskocki finished sixth in 3:22.14.
In the heptathlon, three Badgers earned top-five finishes. Junior Cade Amborn scored a personal best of 5,171 points to finish second. Amborn finished third in the heptathlon 60-meter hurdles in 8.52 and tied for third in the heptathlon pole vault at 14-5 1/4.
Junior Max Herkert and sophomore Quinn Lansill tied for fourth overall with 4,742 points. Herkert tied for fifth in the heptathlon pole vault at 13-9 1/4 and finished sixth in the 1,000 meters in 3:07.22. Lansill won the 1,000 meters in 2:49.08 and placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.66.Â
In the field events, Peyton Frankenreider won the triple jump at 46-6 1/4 while Connor Barfknecht finished third at 45-5 3/4.
In the pole vault, Chandlar Ifft cleared 15-5 for seventh place while Canon Melstrand also cleared 15-5 but finished in eighth. Freshman Hunter Cook made his Badger debut, finishing ninth at 15-5.
McCravy Memorial
Sophomore Davis Wenthe followed up Friday's personal best time in the 600 meters with a personal best of 47.76 in the 400 meters to finish 10th.

Select throwers will be traveling to Mobile, Alabama, for the Jaguar Invitational on Feb. 5. Remaining throwers will head to Ripon, Wisconsin, for the Red Hawk Invitational on the same day.
