
Badgers wrap up day two of weekend competition

Wisconsin records numerous personal bests
MADISON, Wis.-- The Wisconsin women's track and field team wrapped up its busy weekend on the road. Distance runners competed at the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Indiana, while athletes competing in sprints and jumps competed at the Rod McCravy Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky.

Standing out for the Badgers was senior Bianca Stubler. Stubler ran a personal best time of 54.29 seconds in the 400 meters to finish sixth. Her time puts her at third in the Big Ten Conference this season and second for all-time indoor in the program's history.Â

Sophomore Kiley Robbins advanced to the finals of the 60 meters on Saturday, finishing third in 7.39. She is still ranked as fourth in the Big Ten. Junior Destiny Huven also competed in the final of her event, placing sixth in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.39.

A trio of Badgers earned personal bests and top-10 finishes in the mile. Junior Lucinda Crouch finished fifth in 4:44.42 while junior Victoria Heiligenthal placed seventh in 4:48.09. Redshirt freshman Emma Watcke took 10th in 4:50.22. Crouch is currently seeded eighth in the Big Ten.
Redshirt senior Alissa Niggemann and redshirt sophomore Shea Ruhly also ran career bests in the 3000 meters, placing fourth and ninth. Niggemann is ranked third in the conference with her time of 9:13.96. Ruhly's time of 9:26.60 places her as eighth in the conference

Senior Danielle Bellino finished third in the 800 meters, running a personal best time of 2:07.33, an improvement of more than 1.5 seconds. This time has placed her as the eighth fastest time in Wisconsin's history. She also sits as the eighth fastest time in the Big Ten this season.

Senior Jordan Hirsbrunner competed in her first pentathlon of the season along with fellow teammate Mackenzie Heyroth. Hirsbrunner placed second with 3,806 points, winning the pentathlon shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 11 ½ inches and winning the pentathlon 800 meters with a time of 2:19.12. Heyroth placed third with a career high of 3,755 points. She won the pentathlon 60-meter hurdles in 8.89 and placed third in the high jump, clearing a height of 5-5 ¾.Â
Bellino, Watcke, Heiligenthal and Crouch also teamed up to finish fourth in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:57.48.
In the field events, freshman Julia Moore tied her personal best in the pole vault, tying for seventh at 12-4. Redshirt freshman Kenzi Kluge finished 10th, clearing 11-10.

Select throwers will be traveling to Mobile, Alabama, for the Jaguar Invitational on Feb. 5. Remaining throwers will head to Ripon, Wisconsin, for the Red Hawk Invitational on the same day.
