
Badgers finish fourth at B1G Match Play

First time team competes in B1G Match Play
PALM HARBOR, Fla. — The Badgers finished fourth in the Big Ten Match Play after upsetting Nebraska in the first round.
Wisconsin was the No. 4 seed and faced No. 3 Nebraska in the first round. After lots of back-and-forth, the Badgers were able to secure a victory over the Huskers, coming out 3-2-1. Gia Feliciano, Vanessa Ho and Emily Lauterbach all won their matches while Chloe Chan tied her match.
The second round was cut short due to darkness. The team currently holding the lead in each match advanced to the next round. Purdue was up 3-2-1 over Wisconsin, getting to advance to the championship round. Feliciano and Lauterbach won their matches and Tracy Lee tied hers.
Wisconsin faced Ohio State in the final round, falling 4-1-1 and taking home fourth place. Lauterbach was the only Badger to win her final match, making her the only Badger to also win all three of her matches. Lee tied the final match as well.
The Badgers take a few weeks off before heading to Georgia to compete in the Reynolds Invitational on Feb. 18-20.
