Harvey named HCA National Rookie of the Month

UW defender posted 19 points during September and October
MADISON, Wis. -- A day after being named the WCHA Rookie of the Month, Wisconsin women's hockey freshman Caroline Harvey was named the Hockey Commissioners Association National Rookie of the Month, the group announced on Wednesday.
Harvey led all WCHA skaters with a +22 plus/minus rating during September and October, while her 19 points were tied for the most during the span with fellow Badger Lacey Eden.
The WCHA Rookie of the Month for September and October, Harvey enjoyed several notable performances during the two months. She posted a career high five assists against Lindenwood on Sept. 30, which are the most assists by a UW defender in a single game and a rookie school record. The Salem, New Hampshire, native scored a game-winning OT goal against St. Cloud on Oct. 15 before a two-goal showing against Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 29.
Harvey and the third-ranked Badgers return to action on Nov. 19 and 20 with a Border Battle against No. 1 Minnesota at LaBahn Arena. Puck drop for both days is set for 2 p.m.
