KENOSHA, Wis. — Wisconsin wrestling sent six current Badgers and future Badger Brock Bobzien to the 2022 Jim Koch Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Wisconsin was led by Graham Calhoun (174) and Jack Severin (141). Calhoun placed first in his bracket, going 4-0 on the day, including one major decision win over Parkside's Eric Bauer. Severin finished the day 2-1, winning both matches by decision. He came in second place and contributed a total of 15 team points.

Gavin Model and Kevin Meicher dominated the 165-pound bracket, combining for a 7-2 record and finishing third and fourth, respectively. Aidan Medora finished the day 3-2, coming in 5th place after defeating McKendree's Noah Villareal 8-6. Jonah Schmidtke had a busy day, competing in six different matches and ending the tournament with a 4-3 record in sixth place.

Bobzien competed unattached in the 133-pound bracket, finishing the day 1-2.

The 14th-ranked Badgers will be in Newark, New Jersey tomorrow competing in the Garden State Grapple. They will face both Princeton and Penn in what is set to be two highly anticipated matchups at the Prudential Center.
