Badgers host annual tournament in Arizona
MADISON, Wis.— The Wisconsin women's golf program is set to host the Westbrook Invitational at Westbrook Village Golf Club on Feb. 27-28.
1. Last Time Out: Last weekend, the Badgers competed in the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational at Great Waters Golf Course. The team finished 11th with a score of 918 (+54). Wisconsin was led by freshman Vanessa Ho, who finished T7 with a 22 (+6) to card her second top-10 finish of the season. Freshman Chloe Chan finished T25 with a 227 (+11) to record her first top-25 finish.
2. The Tournament:Â The Westbrook Invitational has been hosted by Wisconsin since 2012, taking a break in 2021 due to Covid-19. This will be the 10th annual tournament held in Peoria, Arizona.Â
3. The Course: Westbrook Village Golf Club has two courses, the Vistas Course and the Lakes Course. The tournament will be held on the Vistas Course which will play as a 6,230-yard par-72.
4. The Field: There will be 14 teams competing at the Westbrook Invitational. The teams include College of Charleston, Denver, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, UNLV, Washington State and Wisconsin. Competing for Wisconsin is Chloe Chan, Nicole Ciskowski, Mackenzie Hahn, Vanessa Ho and Emily Lauterbach. Carly Carter and Gia Feliciano will also compete for UW as individuals.Â
