MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men's tennis dominated in-state rival Marquette in a 6-1 win Friday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
 
Wisconsin's duo of Sebastian Vile and Robin Parts got off to a quick start to garner the first win of the day, beating Stefan Dragovic and Tin Krstulovic of Marquette 6-2. The Badgers swiftly took the doubles point after Tim Dzhurinskiy and Lenard Soha outdueled the Golden Eagles' Rami Scheetz and Shaddy Khalafallah by way of a 6-2 score. The Badgers clinched the doubles point for the second time this season.
 
Jared Pratt showed why he deserves to be on court number one after he controlled his match from start to finish. The senior from Charleston, South Carolina, earned his second singles win of the season, 6-1, 6-2, over Marquette's Stefan Dragovic. 
 
No. 1 singles was not the only contest to finish fast, as Dzhurinskiy (6-1, 6-1), Vile (6-0, 6-1) and Soha (6-1, 6-1) earned a trio of straight-set victories for the Badgers. 
 
Parts earned the final win for Wisconsin in an exciting third-set tiebreaker at No. 3 singles. After Parts took the first set 6-2, Scheetz battled back to win the second set 6-3. Parts ultimately took the match with a 13-11 tiebreaker win.
 
Straight From the Court 
Junior Robin Parts: "It was a battle. It was a lot of tough points. Made a lot of mistakes there but, in the end, I got it going and it was pretty good in the end. I learned that there's always a chance, and that when it's getting close you've got to keep the focus all the time."
