Badgers head to Virgin Islands for tournament
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's basketball team will compete in the 2022 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam women's basketball tournament in St. Thomas, the organization announced on Monday.

The 23rd edition of the event runs from Nov. 24-26, with all games taking place at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center in St. Thomas, and streamed on ESPN3.
"We are excited to be competing in the 2022 Paradise Jam and for the opportunity that our student-athletes will have to experience the island's rich culture firsthand," head coach Marisa Moseley said. "It is a beautiful backdrop for basketball and to be able to compete against three quality opponents will undoubtedly prepare us for Big Ten play."

The Badgers will be making their fourth appearance in the Paradise Jam, winning the 2008 championship with a 3-0 record, including an upset win over No. 6 Baylor in the final game.

The 2022 tournament features teams from Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia, Kansas State, Northern Arizona, Seton Hall, VCU, and Wisconsin. Arkansas (2002), Clemson (2014), Kansas State (2001, 2016), Seton Hall (2011), and Wisconsin (2001, 2008, 2017) are all making repeat appearances in the tournament.

This is the second time the event will be streamed on ESPN3 from the islands, after a successful 2021 tournament. Brackets will be announced later this year following the release of the final NET rankings, which will determine seeding and matchups.

Fan packages will also be sold later in the year, presenting the opportunity for fans to follow their favorite team to paradise. To keep up with news and updates on the 2022 event, be sure to follow the Paradise Jam on social
