1. LAST TIME OUT: UW is coming off of a 3-1 win over Clarkson on Thursday night in the regional semifinal in the Boston Regional. Maddi Wheeler opened up the scoring for the Badgers in the first before Daryl Watts potted the game-winning goal on the power play in the second period. After Clarkson cut the UW lead to one late in the third, Delaney Drake sealed the win with an empty net goal in the final minute of the game. Kennedy Blair made 30 saves to earn her 23rd win of the season, which ranks second in the NCAA.

2. AGAINST THE HUSKIES: UW is 7-2-2 all-time against the Huskies and has won five of the last six meetings against Northeastern. Saturday's contest will be only the second time that the two programs have met in the NCAA tournament while it's the first time that UW has played a true road game against NU. Daryl Watts has a team best 19 points in 11 games against the Huskies and has registered a point in every tilt against Northeastern after playing them nine times during her first two years at Boston College before transferring for the Badgers.

3. NCAA TITLE REMATCH: The last time the two powerhouse programs met was in the 2021 NCAA Championship game in Erie, Pennsylvania as Daryl Watts scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift UW to its sixth national championship. Makenna Webster was named the Most Outstanding Performer of the tournament after scoring the first goal of the game.

4. KILLING IT: The Badgers were a perfect 5-for-5 on the penalty kill on Thursday, which included a critical kill on a 5-on-3 Clarkson power play in the final period of play. The Badgers lead the NCAA in penalty killing with a .938 clip and has allowed only four power play goals in 37 games this year. The Badgers have produced more shorthanded goals this season (5) than they have allowed on the power play (4).

5. THEN THERE WERE FOUR: The winner of the Boston Regional will advance to the 2022 NCAA Women's Frozen Four, March 18 and 20, in University Park, Pa. The semifinals will air on ESPN+ while the national championship game on March 20 will air live on ESPNU.
