Saturday Recap
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- The Badgers ended Spring Break and the Cardinal Invite on a high note after solid Sunday morning racing.
A flat Melton Lake and the beautiful Tennessee weather created ideal conditions for working hard and getting better. The team left satisfied with a great week of training and hopeful improvements between Saturday and Sunday competition.
"It was a great learning experience for the Badgers today and a successful first race for many [athletes]," Head Coach
Bebe Bryans said.
Wisconsin came out on top in the varsity four, second varsity four and novice eight. The varsity eight and second varsity eight pulled their way to second-place finishes, both falling just two seconds behind Clemson.
"[We are] looking forward to getting on the water [in Madison] and continuing to find our speed. Thanks to Louisville for hosting a great regatta," said Bryans.
The Badgers now set their sights on the Syracuse Invitational coming up on Saturday, April 9 in Saratoga Springs, New York.
