MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's hockey team will make its ninth-straight NCAA appearance on Thursday when it takes on Clarkson in the semifinal round of the Boston Regional at the 2022 NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Championship.

Puck drop at historic Matthews Arena is set for 6 p.m. CT. Fans can watch the game live on via College Sports Live or listen to it on 100.9 FM

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and also groups of 10 or more and can be purchased through Northeastern's website

1. BACK IN THE DANCE: The Badgers will make their 16th NCAA tournament appearance on Thursday, which is the second-most of any team in the country. The Badgers have also made the tournament in 12 of the last 13 seasons while UW's nine-straight appearances is tied for the third-longest streak in NCAA history. The Badgers own a 28-8 record in NCAA tournament games and their six NCAA titles are tied for the most in the country.

2. WE HAVE HISTORY: The Badgers and Clarkson have met twice previously in the NCAA tournament and were slated to play each other in the NCAA quarterfinal round in 2020 before COVID-19 canceled the tournament. The Badgers are 4-1-1 all-time against the Golden Knights and seven Badgers were on the team the last time the two teams met in the NCAA tournament, a 5-0 win in the 2019 NCAA Women's Frozen Four.

3. ABOUT THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS: Clarkson enters this weekend with a 22-11-3 record and finished fifth in the ECAC this season. Caitrin Lonergan paces the Golden Knights with 47 points off 17 goals and 30 assists while Gabrielle Davis is the team's leading scorer with 18 goals this season. Michelle Pasiechnyk was named a semifinalist for the HCA Goalie of the Year award, along with UW netminder Kennedy Blair, after posting a 1.68 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage.

4. MONEY IN MASSACHUSETTS: The Badgers will play their ninth-ever game in the Bay State after earning a sweep over Merrimack in North Andover, Mass., earlier this season. The Badgers are a perfect 8-0 in Massachusetts, outscoring opponents 39-7. Thursday's contest does mark the first time that the Badgers will play at Matthews Arena, the oldest multi-purpose athletic building still in use in the world.

5. UP NEXT: The winner of UW/Clarkson will advance to the final of the Boston Regional and will take on third-seed and host Northeastern. Puck drop at Matthews Arena on Saturday will take place at noon CT. The game can be seen live via College Sports Live.
