
Three Badgers compete in U.S. Open Championships

Zargo, Rotondo & Gross head to USA Wrestling event in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS – Wisconsin wrestling will be represented by three current Badgers at the U.S. Open Championships from April 27-May 1 at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas.
Freshman Joseph Zargo (65 kg) will wrestle in the Under-20 men's freestyle tournament and will be looking to qualify for the 2022 U20 World Team Trials on June 3-5 in Geneva, Ohio, in addition to a qualifier for the Pan American qualifier for the U20 Pan-Am Championships held July 8-10 in Oaxpetec, Mexico. Redshirt senior Ethan Rotondo (61 kg) and UW assistant coach and Badgers alumnus Seth Gross (61 kg, Seeded 3rd) will both compete in the senior division. This tournament is the qualifier for the 2022 Senior World Team Trials and Final X.
