MADISON, Wis. — For his work on the court, in the classroom and in the community, Brad Davison was recently announced as a 2021-22 Senior CLASS First-Team All-American.

Joining Davison on the Senior CLASS First-Team All-America Team was 2021-22 Senior CLASS Award winner, Jacob Gilyard (Richmond), along with Evan Battey (Colorado), Sasha Stefanovic (Purdue) and Lucas Williamson (Loyola Chicago).

The Senior CLASS Award, is an acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, which honors the attributes of senior student-athletes in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition. The award program is designed exclusively for college seniors who are utilizing their complete athletic eligibility, remaining committed to their university and pursuing the many rewards a senior season can bring. Premier Sports Management manages the award.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be classified as NCAA Division I seniors or graduate-students and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

Davison is the sixth Badger in school history to be named a Senior CLASS All-American. Ethan Happ was the most recent at UW in 2019, along with Nigel Hayes in 2017 (Second Team), Frank Kaminsky in 2015, Jon Leuer in 2011 and Alando Tucker in 2007 (winner). Last season, D'Mitrik Trice was a candidate for the award. In 2017, both Nigel Hayes and Bronson Koenig were recognized as candidates for the award.

Davison has been a team leader for Wisconsin since he stepped onto campus as a freshman, not only on the court but also off the court as well. The 2022 Second-Team All-Big Ten honoree played in 101 wins for the Badgers, appearing in a school record 161 career games and making 157 starts. Davison finished his Wisconsin career as the school's 3-point leader (300), while also ranked top 10 in school annals for points (1,827), assists (343) and steals (160).

A four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Davison earned his undergraduate degree in business: management and human resources in the spring of 2021. He is currently on track to graduate in the spring of 2022 with a master's degree in educational leadership and policy analysis.

Selected by coaches to be a member of the team's leadership council for over three years, Davison is an active member and representative for "Athletes in Action," an inclusive organization where students and athletes can explore spirituality, be involved in Bible studies, peer spiritual mentoring and social events.

In the community, Davison was active with Wisconsin's "Badgers Give Back" community outreach program, leading the team in community service hours in each of his seasons on campus. He committed over 60 hours of his personal time and participated in nearly 50 different "Badgers Give Back" community service events.
