All helmets found within hours of start
MADISON, Wis. – Wednesday, May 26 officially marked 100 days until the Badger football team kicks off the 2022 season against Illinois State on Sept. 3 at Camp Randall Stadium.
To celebrate, the Badgers hosted a statewide "Wisconsin Football 100 Days to Kickoff Scavenger Hunt." Partnering with city parks departments, UW staff placed 100 mini Badger football helmets each in four locations across the state: Appleton, Eau Claire, Madison and Racine/Kenosha.
The "100 Days To Kickoff Scavenger Hunt" ran from 6 a.m. until noon on Thursday, May 26. Each helmet had a prize associated with it, including tickets to a UW home game, Coach Chryst autographed footballs, Badger gear and gift cards from Bucky's Locker Room, EatStreet, Toppers Pizza and Culver's. Three grand prize winners received $100 Pick 'N Save gift cards and two tickets to the home game of their choice.
For those fans unable to find a helmet, signs were posted in each park with a code to scan to enter a drawing to win additional prizes, including Badger gear and gift cards.
For those fans unable to participate in the "Wisconsin Football 100 Days to Kickoff Scavenger Hunt" in person, the Badgers also gave away prizes worldwide via Twitter (@UWBadgers), Instagram (@UWBadgers) and Facebook (Wisconsin Badgers) on Thursday.
SEASON TICKETS NOW ON SALE!
In addition to the scavenger hunt, UW celebrated 100 Days to Kickoff by opening up season ticket sales for the 2022 season. New season tickets holders will have first choice to the best remaining seats in Camp Randall and have exclusive access to home and away single-game tickets, prior to the general public. At a savings of as much as $132 over single-game prices, season tickets are the best value for the true Badger football fan.
CR FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES GOING FAST!
The CR Future project, a comprehensive renovation of the seating area in the south end zone of Camp Randall Stadium, offers Badger fans a new premium viewing experience for Wisconsin football games beginning this fall.
Limited opportunities remain to be a part of the project in time for the Sept. 3 season opener. Club seats, Fifth Quarter Patio seats and Touchdown Club memberships are all on sale now.
The renovation will transform the gameday experience with access to indoor and outdoor hospitality clubs, climate-controlled amenities, expanded premium food and beverage offerings (including alcoholic beverages), dedicated restrooms and best-in-class service and operations.
