Men’s golf adds three transfers for Fall 2022
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin men's golf head coach Mike Wilson announced the addition of three golfers — Maxime Legros, Max Schwarz and Clayton Tribus — transferring to the program starting this fall.

Hailing from Dinard, France, Legros is transferring from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina and the Bearcats' NCAA Division II men's golf team. He was recently named to the 2022 NCAA DII PING All-Region team by the Golf Coaches Association of America and won the Peach Belt Conference individual title this spring to help lead his team to a sixth-place finish in the league. Legros finished tied for 13th in the NCAA South/Southeast NCAA DII Regional (70-70-73=213 (-3)). He finished the season for Lander with a 71.61 average.

Schwarz, a native of Paradise Valley, Arizona, is transferring from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and the Eagles' NCAA Division III men's golf team. Schwarz is a three-time GCAA All-American and was also named as a 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree for his academic achievements. Schwarz was one of Emory's top golfers, finishing the season with a 72.9 season average, the third-best scoring average in program history. He helped lead the Eagles to a fifth-place finish at the 2022 NCAA DIII Championships in May, the school's best finish since 2013 and Schwarz finished tied for 32nd place (75-76-75-74=300 (+13)).

Returning to his hometown of Madison, Wis., Tribus is an alumnus of Edgewood High School and IMG Academy (Florida). He's transferring from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina and the Wildcats' NCAA Division I men's golf team. Tribus helped Davidson win two-straight Atlantic 10 Championships and finish 11th in the team standings at the 2022 NCAA DI Regional. Tribus finished tied for 54th (74-74-82=231 (+15)) in his third NCAA regional appearance. He finished the season for Davidson with a 73.92 average (74.94 career average).
