UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The third-ranked Wisconsin women's hockey team dropped a 4-1 contest on Thursday night to No. 14 Penn State at Pegula Ice Arena.

Junior Casey O'Brien scored the lone goal for the Badgers (0-1-0) in their first-ever setback in the month of September. 

O'Brien got things going for the Badgers with a shorthanded strike just six minutes in off a great feed from Lacey Eden. 

However, Penn State (1-0-0) scored twice in the second period before adding two more tallies, including an empty-net goal, in the third to earn their first-ever win over the Badgers.

On bouncing back from the loss:
"You still got Friday, it starts right after the game ends. You've got to get a good cool down, you've got to get your mind ready for tomorrow. We're going to look at some film and fix some things. Just look forward, can't focus on the things you did wrong."
