UW begins 2022 campaign with strong showing at Badger Open
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin men's cross country team opened up its season bringing home a win at the Badger Open at Zimmer Championship Course.

Senior Derick Peters began his season by taking home individual honors, running a time of 20 minutes, 57.9 seconds at the Badger Open. Only a second later was sophomore Ben Schnoor who ran 20:58.8 and junior Evan Bishop placed fourth with a time of 21:01.7.
Badgers Bob Liking finished fifth, Shuaib Aljabaly placed sixth, Charlie Wheeler finished seventh, and Jack Meijer placed eigth, all finishing with a time of 21:01.9.

In two weeks, the Badgers will head to Minnesota for the Roy Griak Invitational on September 23. UW will return home on Oct. 14 for the 2022 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour at the Zimmer Championship Course.Â
