No. 22 Badgers take on Minnesota on Friday

MADISON, Wis. – The No. 22 Wisconsin men's swimming and diving team (2-1, 1-0 BIG) continues the regular season with a dual match-up against Minnesota at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at 5 p.m. on Friday. The meet will be streamed live on B1G+ ($) while live results will be available here.Â

Here are five things to know about this weekend.
1. RANKED IN THE TOP 25: According to the CSCAA week one poll, the Badgers check in at No. 22 to start the season. They take on Minnesota (3-1,0-0 BIG), which is the third-highest team receiving votes in the national poll and placed fifth in the 2023 Big Ten Championships.
2. TOROK TIME: Dominik Mark Torok's dominant performance to the start of the season has earned him Big Ten Men's Swimmer of the Week for two consecutive weeks. Torok has won at least three individual events at each meet this season, while also earning two NCAA "B" cut times in the 400 individual medley and 200 fly.
3. B1G LEADERS: The Badgers have many athletes that are amongst the top eight in the conference including Taiko Torepe-Ormsby with a third-place ranking in the 50 free. Defending Big Ten champion, Jake Newmark checks in at No. 5 in the 200 free, accompanied by Luukas Vainio with an eighth-place rank in the event. Newmark is also ranked third in the 200 back and eighth in the 100 back. Yigit Aslan sits in fourth place in the Big Ten in the 500 free and fifth in the 100 free with Jude Williams right behind him in seventh. Defending conference champion Dominik Mark Torok is ranked second in the 400 individual medley and third in the 200 breast. Mathew Segal represents the Badgers in the breaststroke with a third-place rank in the 100 breast.
4. DIVING RIGHT IN: Senior Daniel Muller looks to continue his win streak on the 3-meter board after earning two consecutive wins in the event. Muller also won the 1-meter with 326.63 points, earning an NCAA "B" cut standard against Notre Dame.Â
