MADISON, Wis. – Thanks to an impressive start to the season, Wisconsin women's hockey senior
Britta Curl earned the HCA Women's Player of the Month award, the organization announced on Wednesday.
A two-time captain for the Badgers, Curl posted an impressive 26 points on 10 goals and 16 assists throughout UW's 10 games in September and October. She paced the team in points, blocked shots and plus/minus, in addition to tallying eight multi-point games. She has recorded a point in every game thus far in the season and leads the country in both points per game with 2.6 and assists per game with 1.6.
A native of Bismarck, North Dakota, Curl is also currently tied for the school record for longest goal streak with 10 goals in her last nine games.
Curl and The Badgers will continue their road streak with a series against St. Cloud on Friday and Saturday. Friday's puck drop is set for 3 p.m., while Saturday's series finale will start at 1 p.m. Both games will air on 1070 AM while Saturday's game can be seen in the Madison area on TVW.
