Wisconsin sits in fourth place after day three
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The 24th-ranked Wisconsin women's swim and dive team ended the third day of the Big Ten Conference Championships in fourth place in the team standings after 12 events. The Badgers have 649 points. No. 5 Ohio State leads the championships with 934 points while No. 8 Indiana is second with 848.5 points. No. 16 Michigan is third with 773 points.
Bacon was closely followed by junior Mackenzie McConagha, who hit the wall sixth in 52.45. Freshman Abby Wanezek continued the momentum for the Badgers in the backstroke, placing 18th in 53.78 and Kaylyn Schoof followed in 22nd with a time of 54.24. The top three Badgers in the event earned an NCAA "B" cut.
In the 400 individual medley, Callahan Dunn placed sixth with a personal best and NCAA "B" cut time of 4:11.46. This time slates her as the fourth fastest time overall for UW. Katie McClintock wasn't far behind, taking 11th with a "B" cut time of 4:13.85.
Abby Carlson led Wisconsin in the 200 free with a fourth-place finish, touching in a personal best time of 1:44.29, ranking her on the UW top-10 performance list. Blair Stoneburg followed in sixth place with a final time of 1:45.92 and Paige Mckenna was the final finisher for Wisconsin, swimming a 1:46.79 to place 17th. All three Badgers earned an NCAA "B" cut.
Freshman Hazal Ozkan led Wisconsin in the 100 breast, earning a personal best of 59.97 to place sixth. Her time is now fourth all-time for Wisconsin. She was followed by senior Elizabeth Moore, who also had a personal best time of 1:00.62 to finish eighth.
The Badgers wrapped up the day with a seventh-place finish in the 200 free relay. The team of Wanezek, Stoneburg, Carlson, McConagha touched in 1:30.52

Junior Phoebe Bacon earned the Badger's only individual medal of the night, placing third in the 100 back in with a time of 51.96 seconds. The Chevy Chase, Maryland, native was less than two-tenths of a second out of second place. Ohio State's Nyah Funderburke won the event in 51.52 while Indiana's Anna Peplowski touched in 51.72 for second place.Bacon was closely followed by junior Mackenzie McConagha, who hit the wall sixth in 52.45.
