
Huss and Legros finish top-25 at The Hootie at Bulls Bay

Badgers place 11th at the end of three rounds
AWENDAW, S.C. — After three rounds of play over three days, Wisconsin men's golf completed The Hootie at Bulls Bay in 11th place.
The Badgers finished nine-under at Bulls Bay Golf Club, totaling a 277-289-289=855. No. 41 East Tennessee earned top honors among the 15-team field, carding a 40-under after shooting a -12 on the final day. Three teams in the field are currently ranked among the top-50 by Golfstat (full team standings with rankings below).
Cameron Huss led the way for the Badgers, tying for 21st place overall with a six-under (66-70-74=210)Â while teammate Maxime Legros trailed right behind with a five-under (69-71-71=211) to tie for 25th.Â
Legros led the Badgers in the final round, shooting a one-under 71 thanks to four birdies throughout the 18 holes.
Max Schwarz and Coalter Smith finished second for the team in the third round, each carding an even-par. Huss tallied a two-over par while Clayton Tribus completed the lineup for Wisconsin with a six-over in the finale.Â
Yet again, Huss led the way for Wisconsin, shooting a two-under par with a team leading four birdies. Legros trailed closely behind with a one-under.
Schwarz and Tribus each shot two-over 74s, while Smith rounded out the second day with a four-over par.Â
Wisconsin's first round score of 277 ties for the second-best 18-hole team score in program history, just one stroke off of the program-best. This round marks the third time Wisconsin has tallied a 277 at The Hootie at Bulls Bay, with the Badgers also doing so on March 28, 2022 and March 27, 2018.Â
Huss led the Badgers, matching his career and season-low with a 66 (-6) to tie for first. He tallied seven birdies, including five in a row from holes two through six.Â
Legros followed with a three-under 69 to T-17th, while teammates Schwarz and Smith also found themselves under-par with a 71 (-1) to T-29th. Tribus rounded out the lineup with a one-over 73 to T-42nd.Â
