
Five events to watch: Badgers compete in California

Wisconsin travels to Stanford
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's track and field team is back competing at the Stanford Invitational Friday and Saturday. Events begin at 1 p.m. CT both days. Fans can follow live results on Twitter and Instagram @BadgerTrackXC. The meet will be available to live stream on FloTrack ($).
Here are five events to watch this weekend.
1. SPEEDY BADGERS: Junior Kiley Robbins will be back competing in the 100 meters and 200 meters this weekend. Robbins placed fourth in the 100 two weekends ago at the USF Invitational with a time of 11.45 seconds, just .01 off her school-record time. Armoni Brown and Taylor Gilling will also participate in 100 meters while Gilling and freshman Sydney Robinson join Robbins in the 200 meters. At the USF Invitational, Gilling competed in the 100 meters, finishing eighth in 11.79, and finished 13th in the 200 meters in 24.25. Wisconsin is also schedule to run the 4x100-meter relay for the first time this outdoor season while Brown is entered in the long jump.
2. HOW HIGH CAN YOU GO: Tia Dorshorst, Julia Moore, and Kenzi Kluge will all compete in the pole vault. Moore is the only Badger who has competed in the pole vault this outdoor season, coming off a fifth-place finish with a clearance of 12 feet, 9 ½ inches at the USF Invitational. Dorshorst leads the Badgers outdoors, sitting sixth all-time for UW with a clearance of 13 -5 ¾.
3. MIDDLE DISTANCE WATCH: Danielle Bellino is back competing in the 800 meter run, after winning the event two weekends ago in 2:08.35. She will be joined by Madison Mooney in the 800 meters. In the 1500 meters, Kylie Finger and Victoria Heilligenthal make their outdoor season debut.
4. LAPS, LAPS, AND MORE LAPS: The distance events are stacked with Badgers with four athletes competing in the 5,000 meter run. Lucinda Crouch, Vivian Hacker, Shea Ruhly, and Leane Willemse run the event for the first time this season. In the 10,000 meters, Ruhly, Heidi Heuerman, Danielle Orie, Samantha Stieve, and Alexa Westley are all entered. Ruhly sits 10th all time at UW in the 10K with a time of 33:30.02. Crouch is also entered in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
5. THROWING DOWN WITH THE BADGERS: Redshirt freshman Danni Langseth will be the lone Badger competing in the shot on Friday. Langseth will also compete in the discus throw along with teammate Chikere Oduocha, the two competed at the USF Invite with Langseth taking fifth with a throw of 158-1. Five athletes are entered in the hammer throw led by Chloe LIndeman, who sits second all time at UW with a best of 205-7. Oduocha, Abby Peeler, Asia Rave, and Olivia Roberts will join her
