No. 24 Badgers close out the season with final two matches at home

Wisconsin faces No. 70 Indiana and No. 53 Purdue at Nielsen
MADISON, Wis. – The No. 24 Wisconsin women's tennis team is set to face No. 69 Indiana on April 21 at 5 p.m. (CT) and No. 53 Purdue on April 23 at noon (CT) to finish the regular season. The Badgers currently sit fourth in the Big Ten standings, with a record of 6-3, heading into the final two conference matches.

Here are five things to know:

1. KNOW THE OPPONENTS: The Hoosiers are 13-9 on the season and 4-6 in conference play. The team is coming off a 4-1 defeat against Purdue on April 15. The Boilermakers on the other hand are 15-6 overall and 6-4 in the Big Ten. Neither side has any players ranked in the ITA singles or doubles rankings.
2. LOOKING BACK: Wisconsin is 13-48 all-time against Indiana, last playing the side on April 24, 2022, where it was a commanding 7-0 victory for the Badgers. The Badgers are on a two-match win streak against the Hoosiers.
The Badgers have a 31-20 record all-time against Purdue. The team is also on a four-match win streak against the Boilermakers, last time out winning 4-3 on April 23, 2022.

3. RECAPPING THE WEEK:Â The Badgers took down No. 70 Northwestern on Sunday, 4-0, in a dominant showing. The team just barely fell to Illinois on Friday against top ranked No. 34 Illinois, losing 4-3. Overall, it was a great weekend for the Badgers, who look to continue their momentum into the final two games of the regular season.
