MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's basketball team has added another freshman to the roster as
Ana Guillen will join the team for the 2023-24 campaign.
Guillen,a 6-foot small forward, will be the first Badger in program history to hail from Spain.
"We are so excited to announce the signing of Ana to our Badger family," remarked head coach
Marisa Moseley. "Ana's versatility, IQ, and skill set will be a great addition to our program. Her ability to knock down open shots and make others around her better will add immediate depth to our roster. Ana's experience at the international level has prepared her to make an impact and compete at the B1G level. Badger nation, please help me welcome Ana to our family!"
Guillen has been a part of three Catalonia Championships (2017, 19, 2022), the 2019 championship of the Minicopa de la Reina, and the 2018 Best Five in the MIC Tournament. She also competed with the Spanish National Team in the 2021 European Challenger in Cádiz, Spain. Furthermore, she won the Spanish Championship and was named MVP of the championship game with Femení Sant Adrià in 2019.
Wisconsin will have five freshmen on the roster next season as Guillen joins the class of
Tessa Grady,
D'Yanis Jimenez,
Imbie Jones, and
Leena Patibandla.
