MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin sophomore guard
AJ Storr is headed to Puerto Rico where he will represent his heritage and play for the Bahamas National Team in a pair of exhibitions against the University of Kansas on August 5 and August 7.
The Bahamas and Kansas will play at Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum located in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The first exhibition on Aug. 5 tips at 4 p.m. CT and the second exhibition on Aug. 7 begins at 11 a.m. CT. Both games can be heard via the
Jayhawk Radio Network.
Storr's father, Ambrozino Storr Sr., was born in Nassau, Bahamas. AJ recently transferred to Wisconsin from St. John's where he earned Big East All-Freshman Team honors. Storr played in all 33 games and averaged 8.8 points per game while shooting 43.4 percent from the floor (40.4% 3FG).
Storr is one of two collegiate players on the Olympic pre-qualifying roster for the Bahamas, which is headlined by NBA players Deandre Ayton (Phoenix Suns), Buddy Hield (Indiana Pacers) and Kai Jones (Charlotte Hornets).

The Bahamas, currently ranked 27th in FIBA rankings, has never competed in the Olympics ever but this team is considered to be the strongest ever in the country's history.
