ERIN, Wis. – After three rounds of play over three days, Wisconsin men's golf completed the Marquette Intercollegiate in 11th place at 39-over par.Â
Big Ten Golfer to Watch,
Cameron Huss, led the Badgers in their opening tournament at eight-over par to tie for 31st.Â
Tuesday, September 5
Round 3
Wisconsin shot a 297 (+9) in the final day of the Intercollegiate for their best round yet.
Jacob Beckman made par in the final round for his best score of the Intercollegiate, which included an eagle and a birdie. Huss shot a two-over 74 with an impressive five birdies.Â
Blake Wisdom carded a three-over 75 with four birdies and an eagle, while
Coalter Smith trailed closely with a four-over 76.
Spencer Turtz rounded out the lineup with a six-over 78.
McCord Grice led the individuals in the final round with a four-over 76.
James Boustead matched his second round score with a six-over 78 and
Carter Pitcairn carded an eight-over 80.
Daniel Aas capped off the individuals with an 11-over 83.Â
Monday, September 5
Round 2
The Badgers carded a 305 (+17) in the second round of the Intercollegiate to tie for eighth place.Â
Huss paved the way for the pack of Badgers, carding a three-over 75 with three birdies, while Wisdom shot a four-over 76.
Turtz and Smith each shot a five-over 77, while Beckman shot an eight-over 80.
Yet again, Pitcarin led the Badgers competing as individuals with a four-over 76, while Grice followed closely with a five-over 77. Boustead shot a six-over 78 and Aas carded a nine-over 81.
Sunday, September 3
Round 1
Wisconsin started the Intercollegiate by carding a 301 (+13) to end the first day of play in ninth place.Â
Beckman led the way for UW, shooting a two-over 74 with two birdies. Huss, trailed closely with a three-over 75.
Turtz and Smith each shot a a four-over 76. Smith, another Badger garnering Big Ten Golfer honors, led the team with three birdies. Rounding out the lineup, Wisdom carded a five-over 77 in his first round as a Badger. Â
Pitcairn, Grice, Boustead and Aas each competed for Wisconsin as individuals. Pitcairn led the pack of individuals with a seven-over 79. Grice tallied a nine-over 81, while freshman Boustead shot a 10-over 82 in his collegiate debut and Aas carded a 13-over 85.Â
