Fan appreciation night and senior day celebrations to take place at men's hockey
MADISON, Wis. – The No. 4 Wisconsin men's hockey team plays host to the No. 6 Michigan State Spartans at the Kohl Center on Friday and Saturday, March 1-2 with the Big Ten title on the line in the final regular-season weekend of the season.

The contest on Friday, March 1, is 'Fan Appreciation Night,' the final of six nights chosen for special recognition as part of UW's 75th season celebration.Â
Wisconsin hockey is nothing without its fans. On this night, we want to say thank you to all of our fans' loyal support over the previous 75 seasons. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a 75 Seasons of Wisconsin hockey rally towel. Longtime Badger goal counter and cheerleader Phil Dzick is expected to be in attendance for the first time since 2020.
Saturday, March 2, is Senior Day, where UW's seniors on the team will be honored during a pregame ceremony.Â
Fans will also be able to join the Crease Creatures for a pregame live stream outside of section 116.Â
Picked to finish fifth in the Big Ten standings after placing seventh during the 2022-23 season, the Badgers will finish in at least the top two of the Big Ten standings and have already clinched at least one home playoff game.
The Badgers, who trail the Spartans by two points with two games remaining, need at least five points on the weekend to capture the Big Ten title on its own. Four points and the Badgers will share the title with Michigan State.
