
Five Things to Know: Badgers Host Windy City Invitational

Wisconsin competes against 15 teams in Chicago
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's track and field team is heading back to Chicago for the Badgers Windy City Invite this weekend at the Dr. Conrad Worril Track and Field Center at Gately Park. Field events begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, with running events starting at 2:20 p.m. On Saturday, field events start at 11:30 a.m., and running events at 12 p.m.

Here are five events to watch this weekend.
1. THROWING DOWN WITH THE BADGERS: The Badgers' weight throwers are back in action this week after taking a break last weekend. Redshirt senior Chloe Lindeman leads a strong crew that includes graduate student Olivia Roberts and juniors Abby Peeler and Asia Rave. Lindeman currently sits second in the Big Ten with a throw of 72 feet, 7 ¾ inches (22.14m), while Roberts ranks fifth at 71-3 ¼ (21.72. The event is scheduled to start Friday at 3:45 p.m.
Sophomore Danni Langseth is competing in the shot put on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. Langseth is currently seventh on UW's All-Time list with a distance of 52-2 ¾ (15.92m).
2. ADDING A SPARK: Sprint star Kiley Robbins will compete in the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter in Chicago this weekend. Robbins is coming off a season-best performance in the 60 meters at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic, crossing in 7.34 for a 14th-place finish; she also ran a personal best in the 200-meter crossing in 24.21, that time moved her up to third on UW's top-10 list.
She will be joined by Taylor Gilling and Rachel Robinson in both the 60 meters and 200 meters.
3. LOADED MIDDLE AND DISTANCE EVENTS: The Badgers have strong entries in all of the distance events this weekend, headlined by junior Leane Willemse, who will be competing in the 3,000 meters she is coming off of a win at the Michigan Invitational, with a personal best time of 9:11.98. The Mequon native now sits 10th on UW's all-time indoor list, and her time ranks third in the Big Ten. Willemse will be joined by Vivian Hacker and Victoria Heiligenthal.
Graduate student Madison Mooney will be back competing in the mile. She is coming off a personal best in the event, crossing in 4 minutes and 35.60 seconds. That time moved her up to second on UW's indoor list and ranks third in the Big Ten this season.
4. SOARING IN CHI-TOWN: Junior Julia Moore is back for more this weekend, she leads the Badgers with a season-best clearance of 13-1 (3.99m). Moore has the fourth-highest clearance in the program's history and is ranked 13th in the Big Ten. Teammates Tia Dorshorst, Kenzi Kluge, CP Breit, and Olivia Gentile will also see action in the vault.
5. UP NEXT: The Badgers will be heading to two separate meets next weekend. Athletes will travel to Dubuque, Iowa, for the Solomon W. Butler Classic on Friday, Feb. 16, with select athletes heading to South Bend, Ind., for the Alex Wilson Invite on Saturday, Feb. 17.
