LOS ANGELES – The Wisconsin women's track and field team completed day two of competition in California at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Long Beach and the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa on Thursday.
The Badgers set four new personal best marks on the third day of competition.
Pacific Coast Intercollegiate
Graduate student Olivia Roberts led UW in field events for the second consecutive day. She captured a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 209 feet, 9 inches (63.93m), which ranks her No. 14 in Division I this season and holds her mark as second on UW's all-time list in the event.
Danni Langseth was back competing this weekend in the shot put, finishing second with her best toss coming on her fifth attempt, a distance of 51-9 ¾ (15.79m).
In the hurdles, Karina Janik placed 21st in the 400 hurdles in a large field with a season-best time of 1:01.36.
Bryan Clay Invitational
The duo of Shaina Zinter and Kyla Saleh represented the Cardinal and White in Group A of the heptathlon as Zinter sits in sixth place after day 1 with 3,260 points while Saleh is in 13th with 2,952 points. Zinter was off to a hot start in the 100-meter hurdles with a wind-aided personal best time of 13.82 seconds, earning her a sixth-place finish. While Saleh led the two in the high jump with her third-place finish, clearing 5-7 (1.70m), Zinter followed with a ninth-place finish with a personal best of 5-3 ¼ (1.61m). The two were back competing in the shot put; Zinter finished 12th with a distance of 36-1 ¼ (11.00m) and Saleh 15th with a mark of 33-5 ¼ (10.19m). In the final event of the day In the final event of the day Zinter set yet another personal best as she finished fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 24.71 seconds, Saleh finished followed in 26.74 for a 14th place finish.
Freshman Maddie Hogan competed in Group E of the heptathlon, ending the first day of competition with 2,629 points. She started her day with a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, crossing in 15.39 seconds. Hogan also had two strong performances in the field, finishing sixth in the high jump and 11th in the shot put with marks of 4-11 ¾ (1.52m) and 29-5 ¼ (8.97m), respectively. Hogan wrapped up the day with a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter dash, coming in at 26.76 seconds.

Action will continue in California Friday morning at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Cerritos Invitational, and Beach Invitational, with events beginning at 11 a.m. CT. Select UW athletes will also travel to Platteville, Wisconsin, for the UW-Platteville Invitational Friday-Saturday; events will start at 6 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.
