Senior finishes seven-over par and tied for 51st

CARLSBAD, Calif. – Marking the end of a stellar four-year career, Cameron Huss finished seven-over par after 54 holes at the 2024 NCAA DI Men's National Championship. 

The Wisconsin senior finished with a 223 (72-77-74) at the end of three days, placing him tied for 51st. He was the first Badger to compete in the national tournament since Dan Woltman qualified in 2008. 

Huss was one of over 150 golfers competing in the championship at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. Huss qualified for the tournament after finishing five-under par at his third-straight NCAA Regional tournament. In a three-way tie after regulation, the Kenosha, Wisconsin, native won the sudden-death playoff stretching into five holes to earn his first career qualification to the national tournament. 

The Golf Coaches Association of America also named Huss as a 2024 NCAA Division I PING All-Region Midwest honoree on Saturday. View the full list of All-Region honorees here.

Round 3

Huss closed out play in California by shooting a 74 (+2), bringing his 54-hole total to 223.

Despite improving his second round score by three strokes, Huss unfortunately missed the cut for a possible fourth day of play after tying for 51st.

Round 2

On day two of the 2024 NCAA DI Men's National Championship, Huss shot a five-over 77. The senior is currently tied for 41st place as he prepares for the third round of the tournament. 

Huss tallied two birdies in the first nine holes of the round, but was tested by a difficult final nine holes.

Round 1

Huss made par in the opening round of the tournament, placing him tied for 13th place.

The recipient of the 2024 Big Ten Medal of Honor, Huss recorded three birdies throughout the first round, all of which came in the back nine.
