UW hosts top NCAA teams in Madison
MADISON, Wis. – It's back! The Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour returns for its 15th season on Friday, Sept. 29. The men's championship 8K race begins at 1:00 p.m. while the men's "B" race will start at 11:40 a.m.

1. TOP COMPETITION: Eighteen of the top-30 teams in the country according to the USTFCCCA Coaches Poll will compete in the prestigious event, including two from the top 10 and nine from the top 20. The Badgers enter the weekend ranked No. 13 in the USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll.
2. LOOKING BACK: UW senior Jackson Sharp finished fifth overall at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, completing the 8K course in 23:26.4 despite heavy rain.
3. B1G MOVES: Christian de Vaal earned both Big Ten Men's Freshman of the Week and Big Ten Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors following his victory at the Big Ten Preview last Friday in Champaign, Illinois. The New Zealand, native earned a win on the 8K course in his first race for the Cardinal and White.
4. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Badgers secured the team title at the Big Ten Preview, led by Christian de Vaal's individual win. Teammates Johnny Livingstone and Rowen Ellenberg finished second and third, contributing to the Badgers' dominant performance while Micah Wilson placed sixth.
5. UP NEXT: The Badgers will travel to Chicago, Illinois for the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Friday, Oct. 4.
