MADISON, Wis. – Four of the five divers from the Wisconsin men's and women's dive teams advanced to finals on the first day of the Tim Welsh Classic on Friday night, as sophomore
Ryane Neal qualified on 3m to the Zone Championship.Â
The women competed on the 3m on day one, as
Ryane Neal notched a score of 284.80 in prelims to qualify for a Zone Championship. She finished ninth in the finals with a score of 253.40. Her teammate
Greta Kavanagh had a team-high seventh-place finish with 269.20 points.
Vivian Kinnard rounded out the girls with an eleventh-place finish with 247.45 points.
On the men's 1m,
Jan Lanser advanced to finals with a score of 273.45 and earned a seventh-place finish with 260.80 points.Â
The meet continues on Saturday, as the men hit the 3m, and the women compete in the 1m.
