
Badgers wrap up tri against Wolverines, Fighting Irish

Wisconsin collects multiple second-place finishes
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The No. 22 Wisconsin Badgers men's swim and dive team notched multiple runner-up showings in a triangular meet against No. 10 Michigan and No. 25 Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, Friday afternoon. Wisconsin defeated Notre Dame 155-143, but fell to Michigan 183-115.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Yoav Romano finished second in both his events, going 9:09.42 in the 1000 free and 4:27.17 in the 500 free. The men's 200 medley relay and 400 free relay A teams both notched third-place showings. Luukas Vainio took second in the 200 free with a time of 1:36.65. His teammate Enzo Solitario was not far behind with a time of 1:37.09.
In the 200 back, the Badgers collected four top-eight finishes. Adam Graham led the UW pack taking second in 1:46.38, followed shortly behind Landon Kyser in third.
Senior Jan Lanser grabbed a second-place finish on the 3-meter board, scoring 352.06 points.
UP NEXT
The Badgers will travel to Minneapolis for a Border Battle against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday, Nov. 7, at 5 p.m.
